Same old Crap!

Not much going on here to blog about. I am soooo bored!! I thought I would love being at home...but I don't! I thought I would scrap and just have so much fun during the day while ds was in school. Well...none of that is happening! I have been cross stitching and watching my soaps...but even they are getting boring. I want to scrapbook but I just cannot bring myself to doing it. I have had a LO on my table, started for a while now and I just have no desire to go in there and work on it. What is wrong with me?? I am guessing that I need some new inspiration...where to find it? I did start reading a book today called 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper and Cecil Murphey. My mom got the book for Christmas and loved it and she passed it on to me. I think I am only 20 pages into it but it seems like a really good book. (I'll let you know when I am finished!) So...any one have any ideas to get my creative juices flowing again?? Leave me a comment with your ideas...please!

2 Peas Challenge

If you got a tattoo, what kind would you get and where would you put it? I have thought about this a lot (mainly because I love the show Miami Ink on TLC...dh and I watch it together all the time). I see so many great ones and think I like that...I just have not seen something that I absolutely love. When I was about 20 I wanted one and we even went to the tattoo place. I wanted Eeyore...he is my all time favorite (just look at my scrapping room) any way...I looked at a bunch of different Eeyore ones but I chickened out! I have needles...I dont know what would bother me more the needles or the sound that the machine makes! Where would I want it...on the lower part of my back. My sister has a butterfly on the lower part of her back...it is really neat. I think if I were to get one now it would have to have some kind of meaning...other than just because I like Eeyore! I think about it a lot but I will probably never go through with it. Did I tell you that I HATE needles...lol

2 Peas Challenge

Challenge~ Blog about what got you started in scrabooking and what keeps you in this wonderful hobby. When I was pregnant with my son, who is now 8, I got a thing in the mail about scrapbooks. I thought sure why not...I'm crafty and I have LOTS of photos. So I got the "kit" and started scrapbooking. Not too long after that my aunt invited me to a CM party...that was a lot of fun and I was hooked! Now, I love the creative process. Scrapbooking has become a part of my everyday life; weather it is taking pictures, editing pictures, looking at magazines, or being online. There are so many fun and exciting products for scrapbooking and that is what keeps interested...and the 100s of pictures I take each month! Because of scrapbooking I found another wonderful "passion" and that is photography. I am amazed at how my pictures have improved since I stated scrapbooking! I love the fact that I will be leaving these books behind for future generations to see how we lived d

Pinewood Derby Race

Lastnight was the big race! Hunter came in 3rd place for his den! He had such a good time at the race...he can't wait until next year!

My Scrap Room

This is the "new" arrangement of my scrap room. I moved my working table from in front of the two windows (where the comfy chair is now) to the side. This will allow for me plus one to scrapbook ( I will just move the stuff on my table off to the side.) I was also able to move another table in the room since I moved the desk to the closet...the second table works great for my sewing machine...especially since I am getting in to quilting more. It works much better this way...the closet, small drawer thingies(store embelishements and the ones in the closet hold alphabet stamps and other smaller stamps) and the cabinet( paper, photo, and other misc. storage) are my scrapping storage while the shelves and drawers by the swing machine are for fabric and quilting supplies. My ribbon storage (is on the back of the door...no way to move this closer to my working area) it is a shoe organizer from walmart...I store spools in the pockets and my cut ribbon is on rings hanging

Let's see-- Kenney Chesney; Jason Michael Carroll; Brooks and Dunn; Montgomery Gentry; Keith Urban; Jason Aldean; Dierks Bently; Rascal Flatts; Alison Krauss; George Strait; Little Big Town; Trace Adkins; Brad Paisley. My favorite song right now is Red High Heels by Kellie Pickler http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5335149 I listen to the radio or my mp3 player way more than I watch tv. I just can't sit and watch tv...I always have to be doing something.

Simplify Your Life

While reading some stuff on a few websites I came up with a list...that I plan to add to and change...to simplify my life. Take a moment each day to be greatful Make sure to plan time for a vacation each year--give yourself a break and relax Make time for yourself Make goals --Keep a list and update as needed Get organized --will reduce stress Clean out/Throw out --if you're not using it get rid of it by donating, selling, etc. " Declutter "--set some guidelines--once a week, once a month, etc.--go room by room and remove the clutter To do list--helps keep things in "check"--If you don't get it done today dont't stress...just move it to the next day. **I just started this today--I made a list of the things that I need/want to do. I am checking them off as I go. I have a notebook by my computer and I am going to do it for each day...so far it is really helping--4 things checked off already. I am putting both household stuff and scrapping s

Simplify

In the AEzine, Ali talks about picking a word and reflecting on that word for a whole year...wow...one word for a whole year. I think that would get boring, don't you? On the Katie the Scrapbook Lady blog she talks about a word a month. I'm going to follow Katie and go for one a month. I chose the word simplify because everything seems to be hectic and chaotic around here. Especially this house! I feel like it is all coming in on me...we need to "simplify" the house. I started today...I reorganized my scrapping room. I even threw stuff out...gasp...and there are a few things to be donated and other stuff to go on ebay if I cannot find a good home for them. It felt GREAT getting that done today...now I need to carry this on to the rest of the house! Tomorrow I am going to start in a small section of the bedroom and work from there...I am not expecting it to be done tomorrow but in time my simplification process will be complete. So for today "simplify" means

Santa Picture

(okay...won't post with the picture....will have to try later...you just get to read my rambling...) Wow...it has been a long time since I posted!! You all are probably missing my pictures...yeah right...lol. Anyway...this is Hunter with Santa at the mall. ( he is wearing his cubscout shirt...he had a thing with cubscouts at the recycling center before his picture...not the best shirt for a Christmas picture but oh well! I hope you are all doing well...we are all doing fine now...I had a trip to the ER last Friday night...I had a migraine for way too long(had it off and on since the week before Christmas...that is why my cards were late and some presents did not get mailed) and had gone to the doctor Thursday and Friday and got shots both days but they did not help. Then Jason came home from work on Fridday night to find me sitting on our bathroom floor crying because my head hurt so bad...he said lets go...so we went. One CAT scan, some blood work, an IV, some pain meds, and
