Yes, I am back from blogging vacation. First, we had a wonderful Christmas is sunny Florida with Jason's family. I really did not want to come home...it was so nice and warm! I have LOTS of pics to go through...they are still on my camera (totally unlike me if you know me at all)!! New Year's Eve was a little different this year. Normally we have a party with friends at our house and then on New Year's Day we go to my grandparents for lunch with family. This year on New Year's Eve we had dinner at our house with some GREAT friends and then we headed out to a resturant that another friend works at. The resturant is closing and being their last night she had to work. It was so much fun...I had way too much to drink and paid heavily for it!! We did not have our traditional dinner on New Year's Day since we had it a few days earlier while my uncle was in from California. All in all we had a wonderful time this Holiday season!!
Tomorrow my dad goes into surgery to remove some skin cancer. He had surgery once to have the mole removed and now they are going back in to remove some more to make sure that they have gotten it all. He will also be having a test done on his lymphnodes and a possilbe biopsy on some of the lymphnodes. Depending what showes up with the lymphnodes he may have to have surgery yet again. Please keep him and us in your thoughts and prayers.
I will be stitching while I am waiting for him tomorrow...hopefully I will get something done to take my mind off of things!!
I do have some pics to share that I took in the fall of Hunter. I did not share them because I was saving them for Christmas gifts for everyone. So here they are. The one that we used as gifts is the one in the middle.
***of course blogger is not cooperating...will add them later***

Sounds like you had a splendid holiday season.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with your father's tests. Will send many good thoughts his way.
Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
Sounds like a wonderful holiday! PBS for your dad. Looking forward to all your pictures!
ReplyDeleteI pray your Dad's surgery goes without any bad findings.
ReplyDeleteShanon, Prayers for your Dad and for your family as all of you wait for the results. A few years ago I had a Melanoma, and it resulted in tests, surgeries and follow-up, but all came out well, so I know it can work for your Dad! My whole process was handled at the Hershey Med Center, I can't say enough good about that hospital and its staff!
ReplyDeleteBy the way may I ask where did you find that adorable clipart Snowman in the corner of your blog? The "Warm Winter Wishes" snowman, I love him!
Stay in touch about your Dad ~ one PA gal to another, good to see you here!
