My Scrap Room

This is the "new" arrangement of my scrap room. I moved my working table from in front of the two windows (where the comfy chair is now) to the side. This will allow for me plus one to scrapbook ( I will just move the stuff on my table off to the side.) I was also able to move another table in the room since I moved the desk to the closet...the second table works great for my sewing machine...especially since I am getting in to quilting more. It works much better this way...the closet, small drawer thingies(store embelishements and the ones in the closet hold alphabet stamps and other smaller stamps) and the cabinet( paper, photo, and other misc. storage) are my scrapping storage while the shelves and drawers by the swing machine are for fabric and quilting supplies. My ribbon storage (is on the back of the door...no way to move this closer to my working area) it is a shoe organizer from walmart...I store spools in the pockets and my cut ribbon is on rings hanging on the hooks that hold the organizer...I love it because I can really see what I have. My room is lacking paint and some curtains and a few other decorative items. I LOVE eeyore and they are all proudly displayed throughout my room! I do want to paint but I am holding off...we are thinking about having another baby and if we do that than I am going to loose my scrapping space so I don't want to paint and then have to repaint! Who knows where I will scrap then...I am thinking that I will end up in the bedroom again--I have two closets in there so I will just purge some clothing and move my scrapping room to a scrapping closet...should be fun. (notice I said purge clothes and not scrapping supplies...lol)

Happy MOnday everyone!

Stitching Update…Lots of pics

LHN Family Sampler (excuse my crooked house…not sure why it looks like that) American Flag Quilt Sampler by Rosewood Manor.  I love stitching on this; I did however run out of the Brethren Blue.  I decided to put this down for a little while and have picked up the family sampler again. A close up! HAED Natures Mourning.  I have not worked on this in a while.  I plan to stitch on LHN Family Sampler until Friday and then work on this next. Last but not least is a little freebie that I did before Christmas.

How I Use Evernote for My Genealogy.

NOTE: 2 Feb 2014 -- Link updated to shared notebook ______________________________________________________________________ Today I did a Google+ hangout on air about  Evernote for Genealogy .   Once I watched the video I saw that I was not a very good cameraman! Hopefully this will clear up any questions you may have. How I use Evernote for my genealogy. I use Evernote to store everything including my genealogy research. You want to use Evernote in a way that makes sense to you.  Tags, notebooks, no tags or no notebooks; do whatever works the best for you. Notebooks  (the  blue  box) Notebooks are sorted alphabetically so if there are notebooks you want at the top of your list you can use ! or @ or ~ in front of your notebook title.  In my image, for example, I have my INBOX notebook with an ! in front to keep this notebook at the top of the list.  I use a ~ to keep my GENEALOGY notebook stacks together.  I have an ARCHIVE notebook and in front of
