2 Peas Challenge

If you got a tattoo, what kind would you get and where would you put it?

I have thought about this a lot (mainly because I love the show Miami Ink on TLC...dh and I watch it together all the time). I see so many great ones and think I like that...I just have not seen something that I absolutely love. When I was about 20 I wanted one and we even went to the tattoo place. I wanted Eeyore...he is my all time favorite (just look at my scrapping room) any way...I looked at a bunch of different Eeyore ones but I chickened out! I have needles...I dont know what would bother me more the needles or the sound that the machine makes! Where would I want it...on the lower part of my back. My sister has a butterfly on the lower part of her back...it is really neat. I think if I were to get one now it would have to have some kind of meaning...other than just because I like Eeyore! I think about it a lot but I will probably never go through with it. Did I tell you that I HATE needles...lol

  1. Great post! I also hate needles! That has a lot to do with my not having gotten one when I was in college. I'm hoping to get one in the future but my first hurdle is getting my DH to agree to it. My fear of needles is something I'll have to work on if he actually agrees to it which I'm highly doubtful he will...LOL!

US Marine Casualty Cards

Earlier this week I got my copy of Family Tree Magazine and I was reading an article that led me to  World War II History Network  and from there I found a link to an article about the United States Marine Corp making their casualty cards searchable.  You can find the database at  Casualty Cards Database. Fred Thomas, my husbands great uncle, was in WWII and in the Marines.  I searched the database and found : On the first page it states :  While the cards for World War II through Korea are not classified, however, they can often be very graphic.    Therefore, to maintain the dignity and honor of the Marines, the individual cards will only be released, upon request, on a case by case basis.    To request a card, please send an email to   history.division@usmc.mil   or a request in writting to: United States Marine Corps History Division Attn: Reference Branch 3078 Upshur Avenue Quantico, Virginia 221...
